Biography
Geoff Simpson is a naturalist, professional photographer, and the founder of The Artrepreneur Gallery, a luxury fine art showroom based in Cambridge. Based in the Serranía de Ronda, Andalucía, Spain, since 2011 and more recently in Lavenham, Suffolk. His practice, developed over more than three decades, is distinguished by an advanced natural history capability grounded in long-term field observation, ecological literacy, and close familiarity with species behaviour, geological processes, and habitat dynamics. This foundation informs an approach that integrates aesthetic restraint with documentary rigour.
Simpson’s visual and material literacy is underpinned by formal training in gemmology and applied mineralogy. Recognised as a world-class gemmologist, he spent 25 years working in the City, alongside luminaries such as Cartier, De Beers, Chaumet, Van Cleef & Arpels and Wartski. Whom analytical precision, material knowledge, and high-value decision-making shaped a disciplined professional ethos.
